From October 10th to 12th, 2007 International Conference on Geological Engineering was held in Academic Exchange Center, CUG.
Vice-president Wang Yanxin presided the Opening Ceremony. Then President Zhang Jin’gao made a welcome speech, in which he hopes this conference could provide a platform showing the results of engineering science study, engineering practices and discipline construction, and also boost the relevant science technologies to geological engineering and its teaching development.
Guests attended this conference are Academician Tang Fenglin, Academician of Russian Academy of Natural Sciences V.I.Komashenko, Prof. D.T.Iseley from Purdue University and more than 240 experts from home and abroad.
Experts discussed on the exploration and production of the minerals resources and deep drilling methods, theory and technology on geologic hazard forecast & prevention, underground building technology and so on. |
